AUTHOR BIOGRAPHY

MAURICE TYRONE PORCHER

  Maurice Porcher was born in Harlem, New York. He spent his formative years in a middle-class neighborhood in Teaneck, New Jersey. He attended Norfolk State University in VA for three years; deciding to leave school early to pursue a music career.  He released a solo project entitled HIStory in 2013 with his manager and best friend Karim Staine.  He and Karim started an artist collaborative named PAINE ARTISTRY, and currently have a podcast called Paine Is Life (PIL podcast) where everything from music to politics are discussed.

Despite his passion for music, poetry and writing have always been Maurice's first love.  Poetry has been his most consistent outlet and way of expressing himself. His worldwide travels are imperative to his writing process as his experiences with diverse cultures have expanded the scope of his reality. Maurice's newfound understandings and perspectives are captured in his poetry and reflections.
Currently, Maurice travels the world searching for new adventures while documenting anything and everything worth discovering!
